Guitar Lessons near Hebden Bridge

Over more than 10 years I've helped hundreds of students to enjoy music and reach their goals

I’ve recently moved to Calderdale and now offer guitar lessons near Hebden Bridge and other local areas. I provide in-person lessons from my home music space in Todmorden. As well as online lessons or even a mixture of both!

Music is such a big and exciting world to explore and every student has their own varied and individual interests and goals. Want to join a band, learn grades or simply play guitar for enjoyment and relaxation after a hard day at work? Prefer soft fingerstyle folk, heavy chugging riffs or soaring solos?

Wherever your interest lies it’s my job to offer guidance and support to help make music and guitar more accessible, engaging and rewarding for you.

Beginner to Advanced

50% of my guitar students are absolute beginners. Most of the other half played guitar for a few years before concluding lessons were necessary to improve further. I also have a small number of students who arrived as very competent musicians. As a result their lessons are usually focussed on very specific content.

Young and Old

My youngest student ever was four (she’s twelve now and still playing!). I teach plenty of teenagers – often helping them to develop their chops specifically to start up a band. And many more of my students have reached retirement age and finally have enough time to learn an instrument.

I teach every Genre

That’s actually not true. I teach traditional rock, indy and pop as well as advanced fingerstyle folk and blues. Exactly what we do in your lessons depends on the music you enjoy. I recommend students looking for a true classical and jazz approach seek a specialist tutor.

Online and face to face

Before 2019 100% of my lessons were in person. As a result of Covid this changed dramatically! Thankfully online lessons have been very successful. So much so, many of my students have chosen to stay online to this day. But I still offer in person guitar lessons near Hebden Bridge and other local areas.
